Frequently Asked Questions

Are you fully insured?

Yes. We have Public Liability Insurance to $10 million dollars.

What areas do you service?

We service Sydney's North Shore, Northern Beaches, Inner West, Eastern Suburbs & Hills District.

Will I need to be at home?

That's totally up to you. We do not require anyone to be home either for the quote or whilst we are working on your roof. Our usual procedure is to contact you once we are on site and give you an exact cost over the phone if you are unable to be home. If you are happy with the quote we are usually able to carry out the work on the spot with your approval.

What is your payment method?

Direct Bank Deposit or cheque. Our invoices are emailed or posted with the Internet banking details and mailing address on a 7 day payment term.

What does the cost involve?

It includes clearing the entire roof surface area of any accumulated debris, a roof condition report, removing all debris from gutters and valleys, clean and flushing the downpipes and tidying up the mess at ground level.

Can you do any roof or gutter repairs?

Yes we can do minor repairs, such as fixing cracked tiles, ridge cap pointing and re-bedding where old cement has fallen away, re-securing sagging gutters and sealing any tiny holes in guttering where minor rust has occurred.

Why is gutter cleaning necessary?

Gutter cleaning reduces the possibility of fire hazards / damage caused by floating embers in bush fire regions. Gutter cleaning also eliminates the build up of blocked downpipes, preventing serious water damage to your ceiling as well as the potential risk of damage to valuable equipment. Gutter cleaning also protects gutters by preventing rust build up, lengthening gutter life. We help maintain and prevent damage to your property by regularly cleaning your roof, gutters and downpipes.

Do you install gutter guard?

Yes, we do supply and install gutter guard if requested, although is not always recommended.

Does Gutter Guard Work?

Gutter guard is not 100% maintenance free. In short, gutter guard simply delays the inevitable by reducing the frequency of the clean. Instead of the leaves falling in the gutter, they simply get caught in the holes along with tiny seeds and build up on top of the mesh. The leaves gradually decompose and breakdown eventually filtering through the holes and end up in the gutters. Eventually you will end up with plants and moss growing in the gutters, requiring the whole thing to be removed, cleaned and refitted. So if you decide to install gutter guard, you still need to clean the roof and any accumulation above the mesh at least once a year to prevent the worst from happening. Gutter guard is not a permanent solution.
